starlight poem... very deep and sad

The stars beyond my window,
Their flickering light unseen,
unnoticed by humanity,
sit waiting for their release.

I sit before the window,
the wooden beads between my fingers,
searching for salvation forever denied,
my soul seeking what release she knows.

With trembling hands I begin to pray,
my hands folded around the beads,
I am alone.

Forever alone,
the tears begin to flow,
like water down a mountainside,
forever forgotten,
forever ignored.
My fears coelesse into a knot in my throat,
the pain I can begin to feel,
I know it is coming but can fight it not.

Cool sheets surround my frale and fragile body,
the pillow beneath my head ice-cold to the touch.
I turn my head, searching,
looking for something familiar to ground me to reality.
Flashing colours blind me,
their brilliance confusing in their frantic and primal dance before my eyes.

The morning light is breaking, as yet unseen,
forever ignored by all humanity,
taken for granted and never once seen through the eyes of the dying.

The cloth pressed over my forehead feels unbearably cold,
yet soothing to the burning pain I forever feel.

Her office is not truly so,
crammed with book and papers,
she sits, imposing,
attempting to make me understand.
Who I am she can never know.
I cling to my shawl,
wrapping myself forever in silence and sadness.

Who is she?
To tell me how I must think and feel?
I do not go by some bunch of papers stuffed into a binding and called a "diagnostic statistic manual."
I am not anything but myself.
And that cannot be ignored or denied.

awww so sad...all those tears liken down the mountainside that have been shed and yet not totally unnoticed they have gone for in a pool they have formed and it is where the thirsting deers with little fawns come and partake...leaving no longer athirst...rather refreshed and enabled to travel yet their Journey that beckons them onward.
